We have traveled to Wisconsin Dells twice, and we loved it. The waterparks are amazing. Noah's Ark is huge, with all kinds of slides imaginable. It is an outdoor waterpark, so you need to make sure the day is warm enough to enjoy it. And if it's not, then you can opt for Kalahari resort - they have the largest indoor waterpark. You don't have to stay at the resort to enjoy it, either, you can purchase a one-day pass.

There are plenty of hotels over there, we stayed at Best Western - good rates, good hotel, and close enough to all the attractions. You can also stay at Kalahari itself, the one that has the indoor waterpark, but it is rather expensive.

Another favorite attraction of mine in Wisconsin Dells is miniature golf called Pirate's Cove. I am not a fan of regular golf, but I enjoyed this mini-version. There are four courses that progress from easy to more difficult. They are fun! Smiley

Cool thread Lissy, I find it very informative. I'll try to consider the destination for my future travels. If the hotel rates and attractions are as good as you put here, Wisconsin Dells must be a wonderful place to stay.  Cool

I have some friends who are in the Dells area, but have never been to visit them.  It sounds like I am missing something.
There is a Kalahari resort about 3 hours from my house, in Ohio too.  My friend just took her kids their over the summer for vacation.  The nice thing about it is that everything is inside so you can enjoy the resort year round.

It is a city in US with small population. I have heard lot about it but not been there.  It is home to the largest outdoor water park in the U.S. It has lots of other tourists activities also. Outdoor Waterparks are now open in summer.
